Beach time.

Just got back from spending some semi-quiet time at the beach tonight after work. I offered to take my daughter and her friend to the beach after I got home from work. Ended up working an hour OT because I got stuck on a call. Got home, said the heck with it, let’s go anyhow. They were up for it. It was after dark when we got there, (all of a 20 minute ride, if that far) with overcast skies, but still.. I wanted to go. I intentionally ignored the “no parking after dark” sign and found a place to park right at the end of the boardwalk. They went off to walk the beach to find seashells. It was nice to just stand there, standing on the boardwalk right at the edge of the beach, the only person around after they got out of earshot.. watching the clouds pass overhead (what I could see of them.. imagine a low hanging gray blanket constantly moving overhead..) and feeling the salt breeze whipping through my hair. We were there probably a good hour or more. And no, I didn’t take pictures.. You’ve all seen night time before, I imagine. :)

Watching the darkest parts of the sky, trying to envision the vast darkness that filled the sky.. Wondering what great Cthulhu was dreaming in his dark ocean depths, then deciding that I probably was better off not knowing..

Time for bed now.

I think this next weekend I will head back to the beach for a few hours. This time to watch the sunset. I’d like that.

errand day

Today was errand day part the second, with along for the ride. First off was Target, to exchange a set of sheets I bought yesterday.  My inner child loves girly things and she doesn’t get indulged very often. Contrary to rumor however, my inner slut doesn’t own any blood red silk sheets or duvets or featherbeds.. yet. Someday. *wicked grin*

After that was a trip to Home Depot, where was looking for a few things for J’s build a computer project.. and he teased me by taking me down the fasteners aisle.. when they have the shiny spools of chain links sold by the foot and eye bolts and other such fun interesting useful things. There was much covert petting of the chains by myself, especially the heavier gauge ones. *happyquiversigh* Looked for double sided Velcro while I was there, thanks to an evil suggestion from , but I didn’t find the kind I want. Will probably have to go to Joann’s and buy a few yards, if they still sell this particular kind. (web search: OOOOO!) Did buy myself a Powershot staple gun on sale that I’ve been wanting; the dining room chairs badly need re-covering. Fabric I’ve got in plenty. The staple gun was the missing piece of the equation.

Yes, I have tools.. and I know how to use them. *wicked grin* (first one to make a comment about wearing out my shower massage is gonna get the flying monkeys sent after them. :)

Tomorrow morning, it’s back to work. :-p I want more days off, damn it.

:-p

Nothing like getting 18 hours notice that a friend of my daughter’s is flying out here from San Diego (and staying with us) for a few days. How many days? Unknown, but should be less than a week. Do we have an extra bed? Not at this time. Think she’s gonna rent a car while she’s here? Fat chance. How the heck she could afford a ticket bought literally at the last minute? Damned if I know. and and I both have to work Sun through Thursday like usual.. and works Mon-Friday. So it’s not like we’re gonna be here to entertain ’s friend or have time to do anything. :-p

(I do know that the reason she’s here is that she had a meltdown at work and she is off for a week or so.. her therapist strongly recommended that she get away from San Diego for a few days.. and apparently we’re the only people the girl knows who aren’t in/near SD.  I feel bad for the girl, yeah, and I don’t mind her visiting.. but a few more days notice or better planning would have been helpful. )

I have a serious case of hearse envy.

My day:
First and foremost, I had a few sweet minutes with my Lover online first thing in the morning. :)

Drove to work, then ran errands. Lots of errands.

Got a money order to pay the rent and dropped it off.

Bought heavy duty jack stands at the auto parts store for J. to be able to work on the vehicles here at home as needed.
Schlepped around the expensive junkyard in Largo while wearing my purple cotton dress and black Birks keeping the junkyard guy company while he pulled a new fender and bumper off a junked Jeep for me. Yes, I have a warped idea of fun. Junkyards are interesting places. This one was quite muddy due to the recent rain. He asked me if I wanted to go hang out around back with him and I said sure why not? It beat sitting in the junk yard office listening to the poor office girl get chewed out rudely by the owner (who is a jerk. :-p ) The whole process took at least an hour or more. The fender is NOT white (rather black, fading to gray) but that’s ok, that’s what body shops and paint booths are for. The bumper is chrome, which does NOT match the one on the rear, which is painted black. That was all they had; out of a dozen or more scrap Jeeps, only 3 had intact bumpers.. and the other 2 had damage of various kinds. suggested I go ahead and start painting quilt patterns on the Jeep now and get over with. I just might. I rather like the idea actually.

Got home, ate lunch, napped for an hour, then back to driving. Picked up my spare pair of glasses from the eyeglass place (I had new lenses put in my old pair of frames, the gold metal ones I had before the rhinestone frames that I have now and adore.) I want to see if having larger lenses (bifocals now, remember) help me to see better or no. I’m thinking they will. I’m not having problems with the new scrip in the rhinestone frames, but they are the smallest frames I’ve ever had.. and I’m used to having a larger field of view. Anyway.

After all that, I picked J. up at work and we headed home.

Stopped at Biff’s, a local 50’s style burger place, because it was Friday night and they had some lovely painted sheet metal in the form of classic cars out front. They do this every Friday night and tonight there were some beauties. We weren’t going to stop but said two words to me as we drove by that made me turn around. Pink. Hearse. ZOMG he wasn’t kidding. It was a 1973 Cadillac hearse with pink flamingo curtains inside and a coffin with a giant pink flamingo inside. The top was solid pink, while the bottom was dark purple maybe? with some nice custom paint that was very hard to see because they got a poorly lit parking spot. :( I didn’t take any pics for the same reason. That car was SO me. I almost bought a hearse when i was 16 and I’ve always regretted not buying it. There was also a pale pink VW custom Bug there that’s so me too.. and it’s for sale. Last was a lovely mid 1950s ragtop Bug, all OEM inside, sporting cherry red metal flake paint. That one was NOT for sale. Just as well, I guess. Sure was pretty though.

Got home and B. asked for a ride to Target to pick up a few things. (Remember, I’m the family driver. She does have a license but she hasn’t driven in a couple of years. She used to have a cute little Subaru but the transmission went out in it and it wasn’t worth fixing. She hasn’t had a car since then. )

Home for the night, got some laundry going, scooped the cat litter, and am about to fall into bed. Thought since my Friday Night Dance Party is on, I might crank up the disco while I veg a bit longer. I’ve been home barely 3 hours total since I got out of bed this morning.

I woke up this morning around 5 AM from a dream in an intense way. J. was curled up behind me, side to side and skin to skin (yum! and no cats between us for once) ..and totally asleep. Completely. I wish I could remember the details of my dream. Can’t, other than I was on my back and about to get pounced.

All I know for sure is I very clearly felt a hard, pulsing cock slide into me, filling me up, and WHAM!! I was awake and massively enjoying it. And it was damn good.

I want more please.

My daughter got this from a daily quotes list a few weeks back.

To change one’s life: Start immediately. Do it flamboyantly. No exceptions. - William James

It resonates deeply with me.
